Thrilled to be playing on the recently upgraded main ground, Singleton lived up to the honour with a great performance by all the boys and girl against the Maitland Blacks.
After a tight first half, the young Bulls finished with a flurry of tries. Three times in a row Singleton players raced down the right wing to score.
Singleton Junior Rugby and Maitland Junior Rugby Union play off each year for the Valentine Burgess Cup with all 20 games featuring the two clubs’ teams against each other from under-8 to under-14 contributing to the result.
Teams earn one point for a draw or win and 0 points for a loss. Scores are not kept in under-8s so both teams earn a point to take the tally to four each.
