U12’s Coach Jess Maher says her team played sensationally all weekend.
She was ably assisted by Jasmine Maher and team manager, Lee Geale.
“They were ‘fired up’ for every game up until the very last day,” she says.
“We are very proud of their achievements and development over the weekend.”
Finishing with nine wins, five losses and a draw – and in 8th place overall.
“The U13’s played some very good netball. They all played hard over all three days of the competition. I am very happy with how they played as a team,” says coach Gail Solman.
“They showed wonderful sportsmanship and made lots of friends.”
The U13’s finished with six wins, 10 losses and a draw, finishing in 12th place.
While it has been a tough rep season for the U14’s team. Their coach Alex Bailey explains they have faced some challenges but she is proud of their resilience.
“The 14’s had a tough year with late withdrawals however the new additions fitted in easily and the girls played some amazing netball over the weekend with both tough wins and losses,” Bailey says.
“They ended on a massive high with five wins from five games. I am very proud of their achievements and the team finished with nine wins and nine losses, in 10th place.”
And finally, the U15’s results don’t reflect the “effort, grit and determination they displayed”, says their coach Jenny Norton-Rudder. With one win, 14 losses and two draws the team finished in 18th place.
“We were always in for a battle coming up from division four and bringing two girls in late in the season following injury but they held their heads and battled hard every game,” she says.
“Sadly the results don’t reflect the effort, grit and determination the team showed in every game. We are so proud of their performance and sportsmanship throughout the weekend.”
The club’s rep program for 2018 has now concluded and presentation night will be held on July 27 at York Street Diggers, starting at 7.30pm. All players, officials and supporters are invited to attend. Rep Convener Phill Baldwin says he is proud of all the teams.
“They played hard but fair and represented the association wonderfully. I would also like to thank our wonderful coaches, managers and other support people for all their help,” he says. “Finally I would like to thank all our umpires for their assistance and I am very proud of all.”
Information about the 2019 rep program will be available later this year on the SNA website.
