The funds were raised during the month of June at the Albion Hotel where each Friday night Endeavour group participants sold tickets in meat and vegetable pack raffles.
And, generous hotel owner Jamie McNamara recently presented a cheque for $1920 to the appreciative group.
Endeavour Singleton team leader, Rebecca Hemmingway, said that not only was this a generous chance to raise much needed funds for the centre but a rewarding opportunity for participants to build their confidence and social skills.
“We are so grateful to Jamie and the team from the Albion Hotel for giving our participants the opportunity to get out and about in their local community, building important money handling and social skills,” Rebecca said.
“The money we have raised will be used to develop a new sensory and music therapy room at our George Street centre for our participants”.
The Endeavour group opened their Singleton service back in March 2016 and since then have been active in providing new opportunities for locals.
These range from a involving participants in a weekly coffee run, a car wash and the Endeavour games.
