Congratulations to Olivia Davidson, last week’s winner of the Coal & Allied Swimmer of the Week award.
The club was represented at two carnivals last Saturday - Speedo Sprint Heats at Charlestown and Branxton Intertown.
The Speedo Sprint “Heats” was in name only as the wet and cold conditions made it difficult for swimmers, but it was a great opportunity to match it against the best in the area.
A hardy group put up a good showing at Branxton in similar conditions.
The club was placed 4th and there were many great swims from our younger swimmers competing against others up to four years older than them.
Our relay teams did the club proud with the highlight being the junior girls winning their race.
Denman Intertown will be held on Saturday, February 16.
If you would like to participate in this meet, please put your name on the list in the pool foyer or email the club at singletonswimming@hotmail.com by this evening.
Good luck to Amy Phillips as she swims in this weekend’s Australian 5km Open Water Championships at Lake Macquarie.
