Three Hunter Valley hotels have been named amongst the best hotels in Australia as voted in the recent TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice awards, positioning the Hunter Valley amongst the most awarded regions in the world.

In the ‘Small Hotels’ category, Splinters Guest House, Hermitage Road  was rated number 3 and their neighboring Spicers Vineyard Estate number 6.

For ‘Best Service’, Spicers Vineyard Estate was rated number 3 and Golden Door Health Retreat Elysia was rated number 10. Finally, in the ‘Luxury’ section, Spicers Vineyard Estate took home the trifecta, being ranked second place across Australia.

"We are very proud of our Hunter Valley properties,” said Chairman of the Hunter Wine and Tourism Association, George Souris.  “It’s a great honour for them and the Hunter Valley, to be recognised amongst some of the best hotels in the country.”

TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, last week announced the winners of its Travellers’ Choice awards for Hotels. Now in its 14th year, the Travellers’ Choice awards have recognised more than 7,000 properties around the world with lists covering 97 countries and eight regions worldwide.
