Closed in March due to dangers posed from the damaged trees the result of a larger than usual bat colony residing in the trees the park at one stage looked like it had been hit by a tornado.
Since the arrival of chilly weather which meant the colony dimished and the granting of licences Singleton Council has been able to move in clean-up the park.
Damaged trees have either been loped or removed and the grass cut. Look somewhat more ‘open’ than it did previously the park is fortunately back in business.
