The documentary shines a light on the people who have helped – and continue to help – shape Australia’s vibrant dairy regions.
From dairy farmers and their family members, to community leaders and people working in the dairy industry, the documentary highlights how Australia’s farming communities are nothing short of LEGENDAIRY.
Launched in 2015, the LEGENDAIRY Capital Program recognises and celebrates regional communities throughout Australia’s eight dairy regions: Murray Dairy, Gippsland, Western Victoria, New South Wales, Subtropical, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia.
Dairy Australia Program Manager, Suzi O’Dell, said the documentary identifies and celebrates the valuable contribution dairy farmers make to their local communities.
“As part of the program last year, we visited each of the eight finalist communities and met hundreds of people who shared their inspiring stories of community support and of the contribution dairy farmers make to the social fabric of their towns,” Suzi said.
“The LEGENDAIRY Capital program will launch again in February 2017 and I encourage people to start thinking about what makes their community LEGENDAIRY, and what initiative they can nominate that will benefit the entire community.”
