The talented Sydney Thunder all-rounder picked up 3-23 in the side’s big six-wicket victory.
Gibson’s spell helped restrict the Strikers to 132, which the Thunder chased down in 17.3 overs.
Bowling her off-breaks, the 22-year-old trapped Tabatha Saville (7) and Tegan McPharlin (7) leg before.
She then removed the dangerous Sarah Coyte for nine.
And, for good measure, Gibson also caught tail-ender Danielle Hazell (0) off Rene Farrell, who finished with 3-12.
The win elevated the Thunder to the top of the table, just ahead of the Ellyse Perry-led Sydney Sixers.
It’s been a brilliant start to the 2018-19 WBBL season for Gibson.
In four matches so far, she’s captured 1-13 (v Melbourne Renegades), 0-17 (v Sixers), 3-18 (v Brisbane Heat) and 3-23 (v Strikers), giving her a total of seven scalps at an average of 10.14.
The Thunder faces Adelaide again, at the same venue, on Sunday.
