Police report the 23-year-old male driver from Singleton Heights along with two passengers were in a vehicle travelling north when the driver lost control. He reportedly over corrected and the vehicle skid 50 meters colliding with the gutter before sliding into a paddock and hitting a tree and snapping the tree at the base.
The driver was able to exit the vehicle however Singleton's Fire & Rescue assisted Ambulance Rescue to extricate the male front seat passenger from car and into the Westpac Rescue Helicopter. The third passenger left the scene. The driver was transported to John Hunter Hospital by ambulance and he and the other passenger suffered fractures to their lower limbs and pelvic injuries. Later the third passengers attended Singleton Hospital where he was treated for suspected broken ribs and collar bone.
Police inquiries into the accident continue. The driver has provided a blood sample for testing.
