A 60-year-old male has been placed into an induced coma and life support following a horrible accident in Singleton this afternoon.
Just after 4pm, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by Ambulance NSW to Singleton, after a vehicle rolled over the man whilst loading it onto a trailer.
Local paramedics and emergency services attended the scene and commenced treatment. The man had sustained serious head and chest injuries.
He was transported by road ambulance to the Singleton Hospital helipad where the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Critical Care Medical Team rendezvoused.
Further treatment was undertaken by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team before he was placed into a induced coma and life support.
