Singleton's popular pasture field day/walk will be making a welcome return when agronomist and farmer Kyle Ropa opens his Hunter River property once again to the public.
Established three years ago the regular field days on the irrigation property at White Falls Lane just south of Singleton were put on hold due to Civid-19 restrictions last year.
But work continued during 2020 on the pasture , lucerne and crop demonstration site that is run by Kyle, Farmers Warehouse, Singleton and other project partners. There will be plenty to see and discuss on Thursday, May 20 from 10:00am to 12:30pm when the gates re-open.
Visitors will be able to inspect pasture grasses, pasture herbs, lucerne, legumes, pasture blends and due purpose winter cereals.
Industry representatives will be on hand to discuss all things pasture production and soil fertility.
There will be plenty of advice and tips for making the most of these good seasonal conditions and industry updates as well.
Being able to see first hand a great variety of pastures and crops growing side by side under identical conditions is one of the attractions of the field days.
Lunch will be provided.
