During the past week there have been seven new COVID-19 cases reported by NSW Health in the Singleton Local Government Area (LGA).
In fact figures for the Hunter New England Local Health District reached 93 cases on Wednesday with the health district now having 922 active cases, with 23 in hospital and two requiring intensive care. Given these latest case numbers HNE is now only behind South Western Sydney and Western Sydney health districts for daily cases.
Three new local exposure sites were listed on Tuesday night:
Albion Hotel, Singleton: - Friday 1 October from 3:35pm - 7:25pm and Saturday 2 October from 1:55pm - 3:20pm
Club House Hotel, Singleton:- Sunday 3 October from 1:30pm - 3:35pm
Branxton Fish & Chippery, Branxton - Monday 27 September from 1:45pm - 2:20pm
In good news NSW recorded 594 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Tuesday evening continuing a trend of falling cases numbers. Across NSW, 88.6 per cent of people aged 16 have received a first dose and 67.7 per cent had been fully vaccinated by midnight on Monday. In the Singleton LGA the vaccination rates are 87.2% for first dose but only 49.9% for the second dose.

With the state to come out of 'lockdown' on Monday October 11 the need to increase the number of people fully vaccinated becomes evermore imperative according to local GPs.
The Upper Hunter LGA remains the frontrunner for vaccination rates with 92.3% having their first dose and at 66.9% fully vaccinated.
