The RAS Foundation has launched its 2022 VET scholarship program, with funding of up to $6,000 available to students studying Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses.
Scholarships are available for NSW and ACT students studying at registered VET institutions, such as TAFE or local colleges, who demonstrate a passion for a career that will support the future success of rural and regional communities. RAS Foundation Manager Cecilia Logan said the organisation is committed to supporting regional students as they transition into further education.
"The program aims to enable more regional and rural students to reach their full potential by providing financial support to assist with all the extra costs that come with pursuing further education," Ms Logan said. "Through these scholarships, we hope to not only support our regional and rural communities but also ensure their growth through fostering the next generation. "Our VET scholarship program focuses on how students can inject their learnt skills back into regional and rural communities. Students may be studying anything from auto electrics to agriculture and community services; what matters is their desire to give back." Scholarships of up to $6,000 are available for full-time students and up to $3000 for part-time students.
Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident and enrolled in or are applying for study in an accredited VET course at an approved Australian education provider.
