COVID-19 restrictions had closed the popular event since July but the regulars returned with great enthusiasm and enjoyed the catch up with their running mates.
In addition to the ongoing pandemic flood waters, that have twice impacted Cook Park in the last month, have receded and thanks to a big clean-up everything is pretty good despite the inundation.
Singleton Council staff have been working hard to get the parks affected by the floodwaters operational again removing debris and mud.
In addition to the flood clean-up just keeping up with the grass cutting is proving a challenge - as most gardeners would attest. Although last week's warm, dry, weather proved ideal grass cutting conditions.

To catch up on all their missed Saturday morning runs this year the parkrun organisers will be holding the parkrun on Christmas morning and again on New Years Day.

The first day of 2022 may prove a challenge if some of the participants like a good New Year's revel.
Happy running to everyone.
