Betty Knight must have given Bruce private tutoring before he ventured to play the real game because every game he played was a winning one or was it pure beginners luck and that sentiment of we must give the new lad a bit of a boost.
Errol Ruming said ‘beginners luck rubbish it’s the partner he plays with that must take a bow ie. Les Fisher, Ivan Moxey and me Errol!’
Notice he didn’t have a lady partner … that would have been the rest test.
Miriam Knight must have an apology from yours truly as last week I failed to record her 7 win with Daisy to a nil score 0 by their opponents.
How remiss it was of me to think it was a vice-versa result as Miriam is a high calibre player, today she had one win with Daisy.
The ladies fours had wins for Maureen Scott and Val Smith, 7 over Daisy and Betty 5 and Val and Daisy 7 over Maureen and Betty 5.
I know Colleen Moxey was playing but alas you could say her play was a bit slack not like Ivan with two wins.
Footnote: Have you ever seen a pair of slacks with any slack in them?
