It didn’t matter what the gesture was whether it was taking the bin out for mum and dad at home or mowing the lawn it was about lending a hand.
Kindergarten teacher Janelle Cox said their lessons were themed in pairs so students had to work together and help each other out with tasks.
“All the students jumped on board during the week and couldn’t wait to share the fun they had helping people this week,” Ms Cox said.
“Some of the tasks that they got up to were picking flowers and visiting their grandparents or feedings the family pets for a week.”
The Heights also used their creative skills to make a video on Red Cross Week and what they hoped to achieve.
Students were encouraged to wear the colours of the Red Cross on Friday for a gold coin donation that would be donated to the organisation.
Guests at the school during the week included Singleton Red Cross branch members.
