Attracting people on the land who are looking for the latest innovations, hobby and organic farmers and those with a passion for food, food provenance and organic produce, TFD has it all.
“So far, the crowd numbers have exceeded all our expectations,” manager Wendy Franklin said.
“Especially, after last year’s disappointment – we were greatly upset with the cancellation in 2015, due to road access safety issues.
“But, we’re extremely happy with the crowd today.
“A lot of families are enjoying the perfect autumn weather.
“And, we’re looking forward to the next two days.”
Ms Franklin said TFD was no longer an event just for farmers.
“Its popularity has surged with families and the wider community,” she said.
“Some patrons want to learn, see demonstrations, even shop and others just want a good day’s entertainment.
“We cater for all.”
The annual field day and rural exhibition takes place at the CB Alexander Agricultural College, Tocal.
Entry over the weekend is $13 for seniors and $18 for adults, while children under 16 accompanied by a paying adult can enter for just $1.
