He won the Energy AG Challenge 1.45m 4-star competition with the fastest 14 clean rounds on a 12-year-old Belgian mare Chiricco.
The 22-year-old clocked 54.96 seconds. The event was held in Salzburg, Austria.
Jake moved to Ireland after he finished Year 12 at Singleton High School
Last year he became the first Australian rider to win a class at the Balmoral International.
This is just the latest in a string of top class performances for the rising star, who says his ultimate goal is the Olympics.
Back home in Glendonbrook his mother Gail Hunter said the stars mean the ranking of the shows for instance in Australia we don’t even get rankings at our shows sometimes we might get 1 star and rarely a 2 star but Jake competitions in Europe are mostly ranking shows.
