These were the words put forth to Singleton Greyhounds coach Jye Bayley as we enter the bye weekend of the 2019 season.
Our town's major side appeared invincible for a majority of its season opening clash against Denman.
Fast forward 39 days and the side sits stranded at the bottom of the league table with an unenviable 1-5 record.
"I actually think we played alright on the weekend," Bayley replied. "We went into the game missing eight blokes who are normally in the 17."
The Greyhounds added a further five injuries to their list after Saturday's 26-12 defeat to Denman.
THE INJURED:
Frank Paul Nu'uausala (knee)
Chad Redman (shoulder)
James Bradley (hamstring)
Jake Smith (hamstring)
Jay Ferrie (ankle)
Jake Hardy (ankle)
Jordan Watson (finger)
Bailey Schultz (groin)
Nelson Gardner (groin)
Mark Fogarty (calf)
Brendon Chalker (concussion)
Mick Rinkin (rested)
