With a number of country shows deciding to cancel their events this year, due to the regulations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, in good news for Singleton the Northern Agricultural Association (NAA), at a meeting held last week, said yes to staging their annual rodeo.
Singleton Rodeo will be on Saturday, April 24. The NAA posted on their webpage that it wishes to advise that due to COVID-19 there maybe added rules and regulations in place, but the public will be kept update on any developments.
Last year's event was cancelled so competitors, the NAA and the rodeo organisers are keen to see rodeo return to the Singleton showground in 2021.
Robbie George said "everyone is hoping we can hold the rodeo this year and at this stage it looks okay as we have seen similar competitions being held across the country."

Although Maitland Show was cancelled their rodeo will still be held on Friday, February 19 at the showground. Last week the Australian Bushmen's Campdraft and Rodeo Association staged their annual competition in Tamworth.
Singleton will have junior and open bullride as well as all the other competitions and Mr George said he is hoping some of the big names in the bullriding world are able to make the rodeo.
