There is action aplenty with four games on Saturday and another four matches on Sunday.
The main focus will be Sunday when the Pirtek Singleton Greyhounds strive to come up with a result that will allow them to host the Group 21 minor semi-final.
Following first grade’s narrow 28-20 loss to the Aberdeen Tigers last Saturday, the Greyhounds need to claim a win or even a draw against the Muswellbrook Rams to finish in third position.
A loss in all likelihood will deliver that important home semi-final advantage to the Tigers.
The task will be difficult with Muswellbrook winning both games to date 38-16 and 30-14.
Hopefully, the Dogs can lift on the back of a strong home crowd to get the job done.
The Remondis Group reserve grade side will face Merriwa and finish the season with the minor premiership regardless of the result.
The team will be looking to continue their solid form against the Magpies who traditionally give the Dogs a tough game every time they meet.
Singleton accounted for Aberdeen 26-6 last weekend.
The Entire Concrete women’s league tag side easily accounted for their Aberdeen counterparts by winning 42-0.
It was another solid result leading into the play-offs with a final encounter this weekend against the sixth-placed Merriwa.
Singleton will finish the season in fourth position and a guaranteed a spot in the minor semi-final next week.
The Singleton Tyre Centre under-18s are coming off a bye ahead of Sunday’s clash with the unbeaten Muswellbrook Rams.
Injuries have tempered the team’s results in recent times.
The boys need a strong performance or they risk being usurped by Scone for a top-two finish and hence two bites of the cherry come the semi-finals.
The Agi-Hotel third grade side still has a few rounds to play in their Newcastle and Hunter rugby league completion.
Singleton crushed Glendale 62-4 last week to slip into a share of fourth position on the ladder.
On Saturday, they take on third-placed Gloucester at home in a game they could shape their finals destiny.
A win would give them some breathing space ahead of those below them.
The Persas under 17s scored a solid 34-14 triumph over Raymond Terrace last weekend to grab a share of second spot on the table.
The team faces Dungog at home in a crunch game that will see them finish in second or a loss drop them to fourth spot such is the closeness of the competition.
Also, on Saturday, a number of Singleton JRL games will be played prior to the third grade and under-17s.
This concept has been a great addition to the seniors’ calendar and has demonstrated a closer working relationship of both junior and senior clubs than ever before.
Good luck to all teams competing this weekend, there’s plenty to play for.
