Singleton Council has endorsed the proposal to enter in to a joint bridge funding application for the replacement of Paynes Crossing Bridge.

The bridge is located on Wollombi Road and they will join forces with the Cessnock Council to apply for funding under the federal government’s Bridges Renewal Program (BRP).
It is estimated it will cost $1 335 400 to replace the bridge. If successful the BRP contribution will be $667 700 and each Council will then have to put in $333 850.
