His selection comes after he scored 113 not out during the trail game for selection on Sunday which saw Barry represent the Hunter Valley.
They were up against Northern Inland in Scone, and another of Barry’s team mates also impressed selectors. Singleton junior, Beau Parnell, also got the call up to the Central North side to fill the role of top order batsman. He is also no stranger to the rep scene, with two consecutive appearances at the state challenge – U13’s and U14’s.
The rising stars will head to Tamworth this weekend for the official presentation of their Central North playing caps. Singleton District Junior Cricket Association (SDJCA) rep co-rodinator, Jason Barry, says both Parnell and Barry had a great lead up to the selections.
“They both performed well with the bat and ball in the October carnival at Tamworth and during yesterday’s match. This is an outstanding result having Parnell selected as an U15 player in the U16 squad. This will be Isaac’s second year playing in the Bradman Cup carnival. Both boys are thrilled and excited at being selected and look forward to the carnival in January,” he says.
“It was also announced that Barry has been selected in the Central North U18’s squad to play in Tamworth in December. This is a great achievement for Isaac who is only 15.”
