Dave Stibbard claimed his first mug for the year with a near flawless 64. At the end of the day he finished two strokes ahead of the next best.
Dave Garland continued his solid form to take out the winner’s prize in A grade with a nett 69. Mick Williams nett 71 won the runner’s up prize after a late collapse in the back 9 took the wind out of his sails.
Brad Kelly took out the scratch prize with a 78.
Anthony Fay won the coveted scratch and nett double in B grade when he fired 78 for a nett score of 66. Glenn Brown’s 67 nett got the runner’s up purse.
Congratulations to Mal Newman for his C grade scratch and nett victory. Newman shot 92 nett 70 to take home the cash.
Steve Moore placed second with his nett of 71.
The annual Mug of Mugs was also competed for on the day.
Any player to have won a Mug between December 2016 to November 2017 was eligible to compete.
There were six previous winners competing.
Col Curnow, who won the November mug, fired a nett 69 to beat Tony Rock (Sept 17) by two strokes.
Once again the best putters on the day were awarded golf balls for their efforts.
Dave Garland was the best completing the course needing just 23 putts. Then followed Glenn Brown (25), Ian Collins (25), and Brad Gardiner (27c/b).
