After learning she earned the coveted status of 2017 HSC All-round achiever on Thursday, today Emma received an outstanding ATAR of 98.7.
All-round Achievers are students who attained a result in the highest band possible (Band 6 or Band E4) for 10 or more units of courses in their current pattern of study.
Her mother says she has put in a lot of hard work and it has paid off.
However, her cohort “are a lovely group” who were very supportive of each other, she explains.
Emma told The Argus she is relieved and is considering studying Biomedical Science at Newcastle University.
“But I am not quite sure yet,” she explains.
Emma says she just set her mind to achieving the best result possible.
Starting with Biology and Hospitality In Year 11 when she took part in the school’s accelerated learning program.
She achieved Band 6’s for both subjects.
And, this year for Chemistry and Mathematics, along with the equivalent E4 mark in Mathematics Extension 1 and English Extension 1.
Congratulations Emma!
