Cook Park played host to the Singleton District Junior Cricket Association finals this evening as the region's rising stars bid farewell to yet another memorable summer of cricket.

The Thunder (1/93) defeated the Sweepers (6/89) in the Stage 2 (roughly aged 8-12) final on Cook Park 4.

Teenage cricketing sensation Alex Stafa came close to securing a hat-trick across on the other oval moments earlier (see video).

However it would not be his night as the Strikers prevailed (4/85) over the Sixers (3/84) on Cook Park 3.

Victorious captain Kye Dann proved invincible in the opening innings according to coach Dave Moorcroft while Hayden Moorcroft was credited for his bowling when the game was on the line.
