The line-up will now travel to Federal Park this Sunday where they will take on fellow NewFM Northern League One outfit Wallsend.
"To have a 2-2 result with a side like Charlestown, which has a lot of NPL experienced players, was a pretty good result," Slade told the Singleton Argus.
"The boys have come back pretty fit, very sharp and a lot of pace up front which we want to use as much as we can."
The squad has been strengthened thanks to quality recruiting with many new faces eyeing the midfield spots currently held by Jackson Cox, Hayden and Lachlan Nicol.
We then played Minmi Rangers and enjoyed another large win and they're no mugs either," he continued.
"We stuck to our plans and utilised our pace up the top.
"I'd now say that the guys on our bench will probably make the starting eleven for most of the other clubs."
MEANWHILE the club's junior trial matches scheduled for this Sunday have been cancelled.
