The Maitland Mercury reported that the former Sydney Rooster "will not play with details of his transfer from Singleton to be finalised" on Friday evening.
Ironically, the Bulldogs were scheduled to open their campaign against the Greyhounds at 10:40am.
It was at this time that the Singleton Greyhounds senior president Brad Schultz respectfully declined to make a comment as the club was in 'the midst of the process'.
"Last year I wasn't a part of Singleton because I was in involved with a club in Sydney," incoming playing coach Jake Hawkins told the Singleton Argus this week.
"To my knowledge, Frank signed a two year deal with the Greyhounds last year and therefore he is still signed with us."
"Other than that, I don't really have a comment and I guess whatever happens; happens."
MEANWHILE former Singleton and Group 21 representative duo James Bradley and Ethan Edwards have been named for the Maitland Pickers.
The Newcastle RL line-up will open their campaign against the Macquarie Scorpions before playing off against Toukley and Central Newcastle.
