Free childcare will be available to rural families when the Singleton Mobile Preschool returns to Broke Community Hall and Mt Olive Public Hall from next week.

The service was suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions in March, but government changes have allowed the return of the preschool. Fees will be government subsidised.
Fun and education will now be available for children aged between three and five years at:
- Broke Community Hall - Tuesday, Friday
- Mt Olive Public Hall - Wednesday, Thursday
Anthony Egan, Council's Director Business and Community Services said it was a positive sign that all of Council's Childcare Services were fully operational again, in keeping with social distancing and hygiene requirements.
"Council has been very mindful of the importance the Government placed on childcare services in these circumstances, and Colleen Gale Childrens Services and our Out of School Hours (OOSH) have continued to operate in keeping with government requirements to provide essential care for families," he said.
"We are very excited that a change in conditions now means that not only can the mobile preschool return to Broke and Mt Olive, but places will be subsidised to be free-of-charge for families.
"We are very mindful of social distancing and hygiene requirements, and we hope previous users of the service and even some new families will take advantage of the opportunity for their children to attend for some fun and learning."
