Singleton Fire & Rescue firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the house.
Firefighters wearing Breathing Apparatus (BA) gained entry through the front door and completed a search of the premise. Once it was known no one was home, Firefighters then located the seed of the fire at the rear of the property and extinguished the fire.
Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters used a positive pressure fan to ventilate the house and AusGrid disconnected the power to the property.
The rear of the property was severely damaged and the rest of the house received smoke damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
