A large contingent of support staff will accompany the team including coaches, managers, caterers, umpiries and parents and special thanks goes to Leanne Moore for the coordination involved in making this event possible.
The Association gives a special thank you to Abbi-Lee Paul and Maddie Newberry for their ongoing support and stepping in last minute to assist Singleton’s State Age representation. Two great young umpires, thanks girls.
Back to Association news and last Saturday’s division 1 game saw the top two teams clash with a near full strength Blisters back on track and showing their dominance in the first half leaving Tenacious within two goals at the end of the first half.
Tenacious, with only seven players and limited defence, put up a good fight but Blisters proved stronger on this occasion. A great game had by all. Final score Blisters 54 - Tenacious 39.
In division 6 the game between Diamanties and Persas Princesses was hotly contested particularly in the first quarter. In Persas Princesses Anna, Caitlin, Gillian and Emily had great games. Hallee, Mikayla and Jess were on fire for Diamanties. thanks to the coaches for their support and encouragement for both teams.
The division 7 match saw Sapphires take on Pink Dolphins which was a fantastic game to watch and great to see the improvement in both teams.
Carla Putrangelo had a great defending game for Sapphires as did Jessica Ingram and Hallee Tanzer.
For Pink Dolphins Ruby Sharpe was a consistant attacker and defender. Matilda Sternbeck has to be commended on her continuous coverage of the court.
Games now break for the school holidays. Round 10 games will recommence on Saturday, July 20.
