TASKED: The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Jerrys Plains on Saturday after a man suffered two broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter community liaison and media officer Barry Walton said the 24-year-old was flown to John Hunter Hospital as a result of his injuries.
“The patient was riding a bull on the family property when he was dislodged, falling to the ground,” he said.
“It’s believed the bull then stood on his chest.
“The man has suffered two broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
“He’s reported to be in a stable condition at the present time.”
