The furniture intended to improve the Singleton Hospital day surgery waiting room included two lounges, three visitor chairs, an ottoman, two coffee tables and a TV cabinet with storage.
Being in the day surgery waiting room can often be a time of angst for patients and their support networks so having a comfortable and soothing space during this time is hugely beneficial for both staff and those waiting.
Nurse Unit Manager, Jane Bourke said the donation and efforts of the Hospital Auxiliary were greatly appreciated by everyone at the Singleton Hospital.
“I would like to express my deep and sincere gratitude for the assistance, support and generosity shown for the patients we care for, for our hospital and for the broader Singleton community,” Jane said.
