Clear blue skies greeted players and their supporters to the first round of finals for 2017.
Leading 22-0 at half-time, the Greyhounds continued to control play in the second period but two good runs by determined Denman players resulted in their team grabbing two tries in the half one of which was converted.
Singleton players and their supporters were happy with the result.
Perhaps one area to work on before the next big challenge is gaining more points on the scoreboard through successful conversions.
Not always easy when the try is scored out wide but the extra points are vital in a close game, which is typical in finals football.
Overall it’s been a great season for the junior Greyhounds with many of their teams making the semi-finals.
The under-16s were successful on Saturday and also head into this weekend’s sudden death game.
