Whether it’s a local or national writing competition, budding writers at St Catherine’s Catholic College are always encouraged to enter.

Giving them more writing experience, and ultimately sharpening their skills.

Earlier in this year students from Years 7 to 11 got involved in the national short story and poetry competition – Write 4 Fun.

And, from these entries sixteen young wordsmiths were selected to have their short story, or poem, published in a book.

The compilation of short stories and poems from students all over Australia is titled ‘Spread the Word’.

Congratulations to these students on becoming published authors: Grace Constable, Ally Heyes, Daisy Edwards, Zinc Bosco, William Meyn, Jesse Bates, Ellie Farrands, Laura Meyn, Sophie Marsden, Lucy Slattery, Kalani Bates, Zoe Kellner, Lilly Wetherspoon-Mills, Chelsea Jupp, Chloe Martin and Caitlyn Taylor.
