Thanks go to Arne Coulston for his continued support of our club.
The morning field was decimated due to morning rain.
However, some solid scoring was still recorded.
Col Curnow turned the clock back more than a few years and won the Mug.
Col’s nett score of 65 was full of merit even though it was victorious by just one stroke from two other players.
Paul Scot took out the daily double in A grade; the scratch and nett prizes, with a fine 74 nett 66.
Two strokes in arrears was Andrew Bonarius with a 68.
B grade’s Scott Humby was another winner of both the scratch and nett prizes.
Scott’s scratch of 77 was outstanding in the conditions and he is now approaching peak form.
Scott’s nett score was 66.
Fred Erdman fired easily his best score for a while; a 91 off the stick, for a C grade scratch win.
The C grade nett winner was Dave Thomson with a 68.
He just beat home Col Fogarty by a solitary stroke.
Just to prove that if you don’t putt well you don’t score well Col Curnow also won the daily putting competition.
Twenty-four putts was all he required to complete the course.
The next three best were Luke Wilkinson (25), Dave Stibbard (27), and Steve Moore (27).
The time sheet for this Saturday’s competition is on the touch screen now.
With the course in such great shape we’re sure to have a good field so get entered now to avoid any disappointment.
And, don’t forget there is a Holden Scramble on the horizon.
The competition is being run on Sunday, November 26 with an 8:30am shotgun start.
The field is limited to 52 players so each team will have a one in 13 chance to advance to the next round.

Since the event commenced in 1992, it has become Australia’s largest and most successful pro-amateur team’s event.

Also on Thursday, November 16, we are bringing a Titleist fitting day to the Club.
