The family oriented preschool have spent the last ten years fundraising $65,000 to put towards the playground landscaping renovations which were completed during the April school holidays earlier this year.
“We fund-raised just over $65,000 for the renovations which were completed during the school break by Hunter Fencing and Landscaping. The project manager Nigel, was able to take our input and create a purpose designed plan” explains director of the preschool Catherine Bowdler.
The Pre-School located on York Street now features a dry creek, new decking, a tee-pee, a giant xylophone, a new cubby house, all new tables, chairs and seating and a bike track.
“Our aim was to give the children the opportunity to explore children's places outside, freely and with imagination”
The children of the Management Committee cut the ribbon to officially open the playground on the Sunday and celebrated the opening alongside family and friends of the preschool.
