Looking more like Google headquarters than a traditional learning institution, the construction of the Singleton Connected Learning Centre (CLC) is on track and when it opens in November fifteen new courses will be on offer. And, by this time next year a total of 22 courses will increase to 35. On Friday morning representatives from TAFE NSW met Upper Hunter MP Michael Johnsen to check on the progress of the build and inspect the state-of-the-art facility. Mr Johnsen says many courses are being offered for the first time in Singleton, including the Certificate III in Individual Support and Certificate IV in Ageing Support.

“These expanded course offerings will reduce the need for local students to travel, so our young people can study close to home and get the skills they need for the jobs of tomorrow,” he says.
