Members who had travelled as far as Canberra and Lismore to attend the service stood at full attention to pay their final mark of respects.
Group Officer Colin Scriven then accompanied the funeral procession down High Street and (then) Goulburn Street with his bagpipe tribute.
Mr Smith passed away at age 76 on Sunday (see full story).
