Brookers Bridge is located on Mirannie Road approximately 23.5 km north of the intersection with Gresford Road.
The decision to award the tender was made in a closed Council meeting on Monday night.
In 2015 Singleton Council were successful in securing a $1.1 million grant from the Federal Government under the Regional Development Bridge Renewal program to upgrade the one-lane timber bridge to a two lane concrete bridge.
At that time the project also included upgrades to the road approaches, some minor road realignment and installation of guard rail.
