ON CALL: The Singleton 444 NSW Fire and Rescue team has responded to a handful of incidents over the long weekend.

The Singleton 444 NSW Fire and Rescue attended three incidents throughout the early hours of last Friday evening.

These call-outs took place within two and a half hours of each other.

The team was initially called out to Long Point Road at 7:14pm on Friday evening however the operation was called off before arrival.

At 8:13pm the team was then called out to the Singleton Hospital.

Again, there would be no danger as the building's automatic fire alarm was sound as a result of the weather.

Then at 9:34pm the Singleton 444 NSW Fire and Rescue team was called out to a property on Pitt Street, only a few houses down from the station, where a fire was started and contained in a bathroom.

Fire fighters entered wearing breathing apparatus', used a thermal imaging camera to check for a spread and a gas monitor to clear the house.

Police were on hand for traffic control while as was an ambulance for the welfare of the firefighters.

The Singleton 444 NSW Fire and Rescue would like to remind locals to change your clocks and change your smoke alarm batteries following the weekend's day light savings.
