Now in its second year, Blast will return to Civic Park with activities including an inflatable obstacle course, strongman competition, rock climbing, bubble soccer, LaserTag, camel rides and jumping castles to keep the whole family happy.
The 'Obstacool' course will be the headline attraction for Blast in 2019, a massive, inflatable obstacle course. The cost to participate is just $11.50, which includes unlimited goes on the course plus a t-shirt and sweatband. All other activities are free of charge.
Hunter Valley Operations has again thrown its support behind the event to partner with Council to bring Blast to life.
Singleton Council's General Manager Jason Linnane said Blast will be an adventure playground for the whole family to celebrate active living.
"The Singleton local government area is the perfect place for any kind of adventure, and Blast is a great way for people to get out and try something new - like rock climbing, or camel riding or LaserTag," he said.
"Blast will see Civic Park transformed into an amazing pop-up playground, including the inflatable obstacle course, designed for children big and small with a series of inflatable climbing walls, tunnels, play elements and challenges."
Blast will also feature the qualifying round for the 2020 State Championships of the Australian Strongman Competition, a contest that tests the strength, will and determination of athletes from all around the state.
"For anyone who loves a spectacle, the Strongman qualifying round will see men and women lift extremely heavy objects, including a truck," Mr Linnane said.
"We are extremely grateful to have the support of Hunter Valley Operations for a second year in a row to assist us in producing a great community event all round, and we look forward to seeing a big crowd on the day."
Blast will be held at Civic Park on Sunday 17 November from 10am to 3pm. Food trucks, a sausage sizzle and ice creams will also be available.
