The Singleton Police Station has received a colourful facelift ahead of this month's Mardi Gras celebrations.

Rainbows and strong messages now feature on the porch of the iconic Hunter Street building thanks to the artistic skills of two brave students visiting from the Early Links program.
"I'd like to say that the idea was ours but we were contacted by Early Links and it was their idea to come and chalk the station as a celebration of diversity and equality," Inspector Justina Gorgievski told the Singleton Argus.
"From a policing perspective it's really important for us to show some support to diverse members of the community."
The New South Wales Police Force has had a policy and program area supporting members of sexuality, gender diverse and intersex communities for almost 30 years.
"We have been in the front foot in this space for a long period of time and this week's art was another great little concept," she continued.
When asked for a final review from the artists themselves the pair hope passers-by are able to 'capture the brightness'.
"We hope people see this, respect this and it brightens their perspectives on a lot of things," Year 9 student Zain Morris declared.
