If you see someone in Singleton grinning from ear to ear, it might be because they just discovered they were the mystery $100,000 Lucky Lotteries winner lottery officials had been searching for.
The elusive New South Wales player won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10403, drawn Tuesday 25 August 2020.
The ticket was unregistered, so officials from the Lott had no way of contacting the winner to break the news and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
However, how the winner plans to spend their $100,000 windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Singleton Mall Newsagency, Shop 23B Mall Shopping Centre, 1 Gowrie Street, Singleton.
Singleton Mall Newsagency owner Yan Zhang said he was thrilled the winner had discovered their prize.
"We are very happy the winner has realised they won this great prize," he said. "I can imagine they were very surprised and excited!
"Hopefully they can do something nice with their prize.
"In times like this, a win really means so much, so we couldn't be more thrilled for them. "We hope this winning streak continues. We can't wait for the next one!"
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she could imagine the winner would be spending their weekend celebrating.
"What an incredible way to start your day, discovering you are now $100,000 richer!" she exclaimed.
"Other winners tell us they love to share their windfall with their families, plan weekend getaways, pay off their mortgages or go on shopping sprees.
"However our winner chooses to enjoy their windfall we are sure it has put a spring in their step!"
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.48 million for draw 1501 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $3.88 million for draw 10410.
