Firefighters and emergency services called to hay shed fire at Wylies Flat

Earlier this evening around 6:00pm units from Singleton Fire & Rescue, Hunter Valley Rural Fire Service, Singleton Ambulance and Hunter Valley Police responded to a building fire at Wylies flat, Singleton.

Emergency services arrived and found a hay shed fully involved with fire. Firefighters quickly got to work using hose lines, breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera.

Firefighters also utilised a farm tractor with front end loader bucket to break up the hay to wet it down.

NSW Ambulance remained in attendance for firefighter welfare and NSW Police are investigating the cause.

Firefighters from the NSWRFS have remained in attendance to finish extinguishing the fire.
