Filling lots of shopping trollies with non-perishable food items is a chore he reckons is very worthwhile as they will be donated to the Salvation Army for distribution in Christmas hampers and to others in need. Members of the Joint Logistics Unit along with contractors and other businesses who they work alongside are always keen to support the donation.
Auxiliary Lieutenants Val and David Hopewell from the Salvation Army were on-hand at the army base to receive the trailer load of goodies.
"We want to thank John and the Joint Logistics Unit and their supporters for their kind donation, said Aux. Lt. Val Hopewell. "First up we will put the goods into Christmas hampers and then use the rest for distribution in 2021."
