If so, Singleton Council has the solution for you - and the environment - with their first ever Mattress Muster to spring into action on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
Residents will be able to drop off up to four mattresses for free at the Singleton Waste Management Facility on Dyrring Road, Fern Gully between 10am and 2pm.
Proof of address will be required and there is a limit of four mattresses per customer.
And, in addition to the cost savings for residents, they'll also be helping the environment as up to 75 per cent of mattress components will be recycled.
Singleton Council's Director Infrastructure and Planning Justin Fitzpatrick-Barr said the mattress collection was one of two new waste initiatives for 2021, along with a tyre collection that also addressed objectives in the Singleton Sustainability Strategy.
"Mattresses are a problem waste for our community because they are often illegally dumped, which creates further issues for the amenity of our local government area and increases clean-up costs for ratepayers," he said.

"We know that disposing of unwanted mattresses can be expensive and so we recognised this is a service that would benefit the community in more ways than one - to help people get rid of old mattresses cost effectively, as well as to make sure the mattresses are then properly disposed of in a way that is environmentally sustainable.
"Up to 75% of mattress components can be recycled and made into other products, and anyone who comes along on Saturday 9 January 2021 can rest assured that cleaning out their homes responsibly will also have a positive impact on the planet."
Mattress components that can be recycled include:
- Steel springs - recycled into products such as roof sheeting
- Foam - recycled into products such as carpet underlay
- Husk - recycled into weed matting and mulch
- Timber - recycled into kindling, mulch and animal bedding
- Fabric - used in products such as acoustic paneling
"Our residents tell us that reducing landfill and our impact on the environment is important to them, and we're always looking for new initiatives to meet the objectives in our Sustainability Strategy as well as providing a practical service," Mr Fitzpatrick-Barr said.
"There will be two free mattress drop off days and two free tyre drop off days in 2021, in addition to our annual bulk collection in November and regular kerbside collections.
"More information about all of our waste initiatives will be available when dates are finalised."
