The Australian Good Food Guide has long been acknowledged as Australia's most comprehensive restaurant, accommodation and travel authority encompassing not only all major metropolitan areas but many of the smaller townships that lie in between.
The small business has been operating since 2004 on George Street and has grown to fulfil the town of three needs; scrumptious food and drinks, quirky home wares and gifts and its award-winning WOW flowers.
Head barista Meg Christensen has been operating the coffee machine for the last seven years at and said she is very proud of her WOW team for winning this award.
"Two of us who make up our barista team during the week myself and Lainee Everett, and our friend Berry Shrestha who shares his love for coffee with us, helps us out on a Saturday," said Meg.
"We have to also mention our other dedicated wait staff Lili, Dana, Ruby, Linda and Matt, who look after the customer service side of our team."
The shop prides itself on creating a unique space and memorable experience for all to enjoy and remember.
"I love being able to share my passion for coffee with people that come through our shop. Being a family run business I get to spend my days with my sisters, mum and grandparents, which is pretty special."
The cafe has been using coffee bean blends from Peaberry's Coffee Roasters located in Newcastle for several years now and find that their customers love them as much as they do.
"Peaberry's create beautiful blends of beans, combining that with our team's passion for making the perfect cup of coffee is what makes our coffee good!" said Meg.
"We also offer a variety alternate milks, including almond, soy, coconut and lactose free."
The cafe also experiments with food and drink including their popular turmeric latte and adventurous beetroot, chilli and cacao hot chocolates; perfect in winter.
"I'm very proud of our wow team, and most of all the other coffee guns behind the machine who were a huge part of winning this award.
"A big shout out and thank you, not only to those who voted for us but to the regular faces that continually support our small business. You rock."
Worn Out Wares is open 7am - 4pm weekdays and 8am - 3pm on Saturdays located at 41-43 George Street, Singleton.
