The October 13 event, now in its 14th year, will aim to raise $60,000 to support cancer patients with facilities such as Transport to Treatment, along with financial assistance, information and encouragement.
“It’s occasions like these that really show what community is all about,” Cancer Council NSW Upper Hunter community relations coordinator Clint Ekert said.
“To see everyone come together and support this event, which helps local cancer patients, is fantastic to see.”
In 2018, Singleton Relay For Life will host a reduced format from 10am until 10pm, with fireworks about 9pm.
“We’ve organised activities for the whole family and all residents are welcome to come down and enjoy the day,” Mr Ekert said.
“We have markets, a Kids Zone, entertainment and, of course, the track for participants to walk around.
“There really is something for everyone this year.
"And, it's not too late to enter a team."
Singleton Relay for Life will take place at the Singleton Showground on Saturday, October 13.
Donations and registrations are available online at www.cancercouncil.org.au/singletonrelay
Or, alternatively, turn up on the day from 8am.
