The win came unexpectedly to the florist team as they were up against sixteen other finalists from the region.
"I received the email that we had been nominated for our flowers earlier in the month and I was immediately happy that we had been recognised by our brides" the shop owner Louise Christensen exclaimed.
The cocktail themed award evening took place at Rydges on Honeysuckle waterfront, Newcastle on Tuesday April 9.
"We were first announced in the top ten which was very exciting, then those highly commended were announced then they announced the winner... which was us,"
A fantastic result for the team, Louise and her mother Helen Allen were there to receive the award.
After being nominated for the award in 2018, The WOW Flowers team has worked hard over the last year to provide for over fifty weddings across the valley, ensuring each wedding has the personal touch the bride desires.
"We aim to really focus on what the bride wants for their special day and we pride ourselves on this and we are happy with the positive feedback we get from our brides" she added.
Floral works from WOW Flowers have also been featured in White, Bridal and Marriage Wedding magazine earlier this year.
She continued, "We wouldn't have been able to achieve this if we didn't collaborate and work as a team and I am really grateful for all of the ladies I work with,"
Wedding specialists Gayle Lewis and Anna Maguire, florists Ruby Dullaghan and Mei Craquelin and helper Helen Allen make up the WOW Flowers team.
